This is our first official launch of hardware "printed" in Carbon Fiber (CF) embedded thermoplastics using Additive Manufacturing. 


With supply shortages and costs of Manufacturing rising, we used this "down time" to look at new ways to rapidly design and prototype our hardware going into the future. 

We landed on Additive Manufacturing (3D printing) as it is a rapidly growing industry with new innovations coming out as we speak to not only utilize it for prototyping but for production runs as well. 

We had the opportunity to research and discuss this with leaders in the industry at "large format machine levels" down to your "at home" small print farm, and we found ourselves right in between with what we believe, to be the right partners and a machine that fits perfectly into our mission set. More on this later...but we look to not only produce these parts but to empower other shops and our operators running around the globe...with the capability to design and rip out functional parts rapidly as they need it..."off the grid".

These parts are currently made in our small shop, using Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) to print out, layer by layer, a finished part that can be rapidly redesigned and altered as the hardware they protect, changes year to year. 

These parts are currently printed using 3DXTech Polycarbonate and Carbon Fiber blend (PC+CF). This material is currently giving us the strength and temperature resistance, we felt we required in an off-road desert environment. As we progress and bring in new machines, this material can be upgraded to meet aerospace and defense needs per contracted build.

Benefits over our traditional aluminum cases

We designed an interchangeable mounting system (patents pending) to easily allow you to swap out between cage, direct and slap (velcro) mounting options. You can order this case with one or multiple options.

- Cage comes with a pipe clamp that fits up to about 2 1/2" (We used to go longer but always had a lot of extra clamp...if you need more let us know)

- Direct comes with mounting hardware to drill it into your dash, hood, roof, etc

- Slap comes with a Velcro adapter and a 3M velcro to stage where you want it.

The material can withstand a good bit of heat which should be plenty for desert off-roading in a caged vehicles etc. However, like the antenna, iPhones, iPads, other electronics, batteries, dogs and babies, it is not a good idea to leave these things baking inside of an enclosed vehicle in the dead of summer. This current material used can go right up to that threshold of what a vehicle interior would probably get too...but it's better to not push it for the other fore mentioned things, listed. It may get soft until it cools but could also warp during this process. We chose a material that should withstand these temps but if you need a higher temp material we can run that under Contract. For example if you're traveling to space...contact us.


Additive Manufacturing is still just pushing hot plastic through a nozzle onto layers. While we have perfected this to the best of "its" and our abilities...this is not injection molding. So you will see layer lines and possible imperfections here and there.

Just picture it as a "snowflake"...each slightly different and beautiful in their own way/differences.


If you break this under reasonable circumstances, or there is a break due to a flaw in the part itself, we will look at this and most likely send you a replacement...within reason. If you went through an entire race season with it...destroyed your car every other race and had to totally rebuild it...then we may ask you to buy a replacement.
